Process for Thesis Proposal

Candidates who are to write Thesis are requested to carefully notice the following instructions and follow them accordingly. Candidates should submit the Title and Thesis proposal to the AIGS office, and after the Committee approval, the first and second readers will be assigned to the candidates. It is Candidate’s sole responsibility to deal with the concern department professor for the better outcome of the Proposal, prior to the submission of the Proposal to the AIGS office. 

* This process is not applicable to the students who have been already assigned with first and second readers

1. Who?
√ ThM – Candidates who completed 2nd semester 
√ ThM+PhD – Candidates who completed 5th, 6th semester 
√ PhD – Candidates who completed 3rd, 4th semester.

2. When? 
until 29th June, 2018(Fri)

3. How?
In person to AIGS Office (Need to submit the printed files)

4. What forms?
① Thesis Title: Download from Attached file 
② Thesis Proposal :
  Thesis Proposal should contain the fowling section / issue / arguments:
  1) Abstract
  2) Problem/puzzle
  3) Research question
  4) Relevance 
  5) Existing explanation/literature view
  6) Argument
  7) Method
  8) Tentative outline
  9) Bibliography

5. Additional Information:
① First reader and Second reader(s) will be notified in the month of July 2018, only to those whose thesis proposal is approved.
② Candidate will be ONLY qualified for oral defense upon written approval of first and second reader(s)
