내용 Dear AIGS students,
Hearty greetings in the name of our LORD Jesus! Trust this note finds you well despite the monsoon that may impede some of our summer activities. However, I would like to invite you for an event that might become not only a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience but an unprecedented opportunity to be a partaker of global evangelical movement as well. As you know, in the 1970s, Billy Graham perceived the need for a global congress to reframe Christian mission in a world of political, economic, intellectual, and religious upheaval. The church, he believed, had to grasp the ideas and values behind rapid changes in society. In July 1974, over 2,400 participants from 150 nations gathered in Lausanne, Switzerland, for the First International Congress on World Evangelization. TIME magazine described it as ‘a formidable forum, possibly the widest-ranging meeting of Christians ever held’. Today Lausanne continues to fulfill its unique calling to connect leaders across regions, issues, and generations to collaboratively and prayerfully work toward the advancement of the gospel. And Korea will be hosting the Fourth International Lausanne Congress in 2024. Around 5,000 participants from over 180 international delegates are expected to be participating in this congress. And AIGS was honored as the only Theological School to be represented in the meeting. In preparation to 2024 Congress, Korea Lausanne Hosting Committee will hold a prayer meeting at Songdo Convention Center on 14 July 2023. Some 5 thousand Christian leader across the Korean peninsula along with international delegations are expected to be participating in this prayer meeting, and AIGS was invited as a special guest! With this in mind, I heartedly invite all our AIGS students, with none left, to take this lifetime opportunity. Mr. Kim Dong Il will soon work close with AIGS student body for detailed procedures and preparations for this event. Trust this will become one of the most memorable time in ACTS.
