AIGS M.Div. 2005 KESA Chairman

Dear all ACTS members in Christ,

Greetings with the love of Christ from Ansan South Korea to all!

I am still missing my days in ACTS back in 2005 studying with AIGS members and learning from our dear beloved professors even though we went through the school struggles and trials in ACTS of that time. I was a chairman of KESA(Korean English speaking Student Association) at that time so most of our international students called me ‘Chairman’.

I have worked for the Lord more than 7 years here in Ansan city, the mission field, because more than 76,000 foreigners from about 86 different countries are living in this City of Ansan Gyeonggi province.

I have planted a church in April of 2009 right after the pastor’s ordination for migrant mission focusing on Filipinos who are from various cultural and religious backgrounds. Our church name is Global Mission Community Church(GMCC) where cross cultural ministry is the center with the people from the Philippines with different tribes and languages.

We have diverse approaches to the Filipino migrant worker’s group to evangelize them while they are working in Korea. Our major ministry is as follows:

-Daily ministry: Prayer ministry, Shelter ministry(Providing Shelter for the Filipino brothers), Counseling (Labour, Medical, Family etc)
-Saturdays: Shelter fellowship, Discipleship training for Cell group leaders, Music ministry practice.
-Sundays: Praise and Worship (10AM), Cell group meeting(11AM), Lunch(12PM), Korean Class(basic & Topic Class)(1PM), Sport Activities(Basket ball team, bowling team), Computer Class, Birthday celebration, Baptism, Holy Communion etc.
-Cultural Activities: Every last Sunday-outing, Chinese New Year outing, Summer Camp, Chuseok outing, Christmas Celebration, Easter day celebration etc.

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.” (John 15:16)

We, GMCC members are fruit bearing disciples of Jesus who can bring glory to God in our daily journey of faith.

I learned the mission centered ministry in my school of ACTS and now I am just do what I have learned of that time by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Dear ACTS students and alumni, be transformed in the Spirit to preach the Gospel wherever you go whatever you do according to ACTS spirit.

May God bless you all!
